Three belted individuals were seriously injured or killed in Comal County, Texas this morning. According to MySA.com:
Two people were killed and one man was injured in a head-on collision in Comal County Monday morning. New Braunfels resident Cooper Cochran, 26, and 29-year-old Holly Knight of San Marcos were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which took place on Texas 46 about four miles east of Bulverde, just before 9 a.m. Department of Public Safety officials said Cochran was driving a 2001 Dodge Neon west on the roadway when he veered into the east-bound lane. Stanley Curry, 52, was driving a 2010 Ford Explorer and tried to avoid Cochran’s car, but couldn’t, officials said, and the two vehicles collided. Cochran, Knight and Curry were all wearing safety belts, officials said, but it is not immediately known whether or not drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Officials said Curry, of Spring Branch, was injured in the wreck and taken to Northeast Baptist Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. Troopers did note that the road was wet and it was raining when the incident occurred.
