Fatality Accidents Plague Holiday Driving by San Antonio and Austin 18-Wheeler and Drunk Driving Accident Attorney Justin A. Hill

The holiday season did not bring a slow to dangerous and deadly traffic accidents.  Extreme storms and a large number of people traveling to see loved ones, proved to be a dangerous and deadly combination.  18-wheeler accidents, drunk driving accidents, and accidents involving unsafe vehicles seemed to present in all media.  Here are a few that made the news.

San Antonio, Texas Fatality Accident:

Authorities have identified two people killed in a Tuesday afternoon crash in Guadalupe County. Christopher Cooper of College Station was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 1:30 p.m. on U.S. 123 about 2 miles north of Seguin, according to Texas Department of Public Safety officials. Sabrina Chapman of Seguin was taken to a New Braunfels hospital and died shortly after, officials said. Cooper, 38, was driving north in a Honda SUV when 18-year-old Chapman lost control of her south-bound Jeep. Officials said she swerved into the north lanes and crashed into the side of Cooper’s vehicle. Chapman, who wasn’t wearing her safety belt, was ejected from the Jeep. Cooper’s passenger, reportedly his 29-year-old wife Kristin, was injured and taken to Brackenridge Hospital in Austin.

Houston, Texas Fatality Drunk Driving Accident:

A woman was killed and man a was injured in what authorities say appears to have been a crash that involved a driver under the influence in southeast Harris County Tuesday night. Tracy Adsit died in the wreck, which occurred in the 11000 block of Port about 5:20 p.m., investigators said. The driver, whose name has not been released because no charges have been filed against him so far, was rushed by medical helicopter to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. His condition is unknown. Investigators said that the pair was in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro traveling westbound on Port when the driver veered from the road. The car slammed into a wooden utility on the passenger side, where the woman was sitting. The driver is believed to have been impaired by alcohol, drugs or both, investigators said.
