Town of Charleston, Wisconsin Rollover
The driver of a pickup truck that overturned in the Town of Charleston about 10 a.m. Friday was listed in serious condition later at Neenah’s Theda Clark Medical Center. The driver, Jacob C. Atkinson, 18, of Mount Calvary, was ejected from the truck and pinned beneath the overturned vehicle’s roof. Three men traveling behind the truck freed Atkinson, who was pinned by his legs, a Calumet County Sheriff’s Department release said.Atkinson was driving north on Irish Road north of Pethan Road when his pickup drifted to the road shoulder, went out of control when steered back to the roadway, entered a steep ditch, and rolled into a plowed field.
A San Angelo man and woman died in a two-vehicle crash just north of San Angelo that also sent a Forsan man to a local hospital. The San Angelo couple were driving a silver Chevrolet Venture on Rust Road and ran the stop sign where the road intersects with FM 2105, said State Trooper John Moody, hitting a white Chevrolet G30 pulling a boat headed west on 2105. Everybody involved in the crash was wearing a seatbelt, Moody said, and speed did not seem to be a factor for the cause of the crash.
35 year old Amy Wagstaff suffered head injuries after her late model Toyota 4-Runner left the highway and rolled over, landing upside down next to the roadway. The crash occurred shortly before 4:00 on Thursday afternoon on a stretch of Highway 190 about 11 miles east of Woodville. Wagstaff is recovering at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont after being seriously injured.
