Two good Samaritans who stopped to check on an accident were killed early Sunday morning on the Northeast Side. Briaramarie Francis, 20, and Scott Foss, 23, were pronounced dead at the scene around 3:30 a.m., when they got out to assist in a two-vehicle accident on Loop 410 near Perrin Beitel Road, according to a San Antonio Police Department incident report. Someone abandoned a white Volvo after crashing into a retaining wall, police said, and an SUV crashed into the back of the car. The report states Alicia Johnson, 21, was driving a green Ford Expedition with Francis and Foss, and the trio stopped to help. Johnson stayed in the car while Francis and Foss got out; then a man driving a 2007 silver Lincoln crashed into the back of Johnson’s vehicle and struck Francis and Foss, who were standing near the retaining wall. Only Francis and Foss sustained injuries in the crash, police said. So far, no charges have been filed in connection with the fatal accident.
